You will find answers to the most commonly asked questions on this page. If you don’t find the answer you are looking for, please contact through the “Contact Us” page or call the Calgary office at 587-404-0790. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.

How much will a new system cost?
The costs vary widely depending on site conditions, scope of the project and customer budget. As an independent installation and service company we have access to a large variety of products to suit almost any situation.

How do I get an estimate?
Please use our “Contact Us” page or call the Calgary office at 587-404-0790.

What do I need to provide to get an estimate?
To provide you with an accurate estimate, we will need blueprints of the building, specifications of the equipment and the scope of work that will be needed for the project.

Can I buy the system and just have you install it?
No. Systems need to be properly designed for the space that they are going to service. If we’re going to take responsibility for the system, we need to be able to size it correctly.

How long does it normally take to install the system?
Depending on the scope of work it can take from 4 hours to a week. We are happy to do just a few heat runs or an entire house.

How do you determine what size of system a building will need?
We are HVAC experts and will use the specifications we get from the building contractor you to determine the heat loads, air flow needs and calculate the energy requirements to size the system correctly for the building.

At what point in the home’s construction should the system be installed?
We need access to the house for installation after it is closed off, but before drywall is installed.

Can I demo the old system myself?
Absolutely! But for safety reasons, enlist the help of your gasfitter to do the disconnection.

Do you pull the permits or do I have to?
This depends on the situation. If we are working on a new construction project that already has a building permit, another permit is usually not required. If we are helping you with a renovation, we will pull the permit for you.

Do large builders, small builders and renovators have to compete against each other for services?
No. Service Experts has recently expanded, adding a small builder and renovation division. Each division has its own administrative and field staff.

If there are concerns about what to do on a site, is there someone who can do a visit?
Definitely. We have staff readily available and are able to meet you on site for a consultation.
