Calverley Service Experts Helps Raise Money for Dallas Officers Killed in Shooting Published on October 27, 2016 On July 7th, 2016, a peaceful Black Lives Matter-organized protest was concluding when shots echoed in Dallas. Chaos ensued and by the time everything calmed, nine members of Dallas law enforcement were hurt and five lost their lives. Within a few days, Dallas business owners and community leaders joined forces to raise funds for the police officers and their families. Dos Jefes, a local bistro, hosted “Dine for Dallas Blue” and all of the money raised from the dinner and silent auction they put on were given to the fallen and injured officers and their families. Calverley Service Experts General Manager Tony Polendo was more than honored to help. “I was out for my birthday dinner a few blocks away from the terrible events of that evening,” Polendo recounted. “That night struck a chord for me. As a military veteran, I have complete and total respect for any person who wears a uniform in an endeavor to protect and serve our community.” “When my colleague contacted me to ask if we would support this great cause by merely attending, I wanted to do more than only attend, but donate our time and effort as well.” Tony and the Calverley Service Experts team collaborated with Lennox to auction off a new heating and cooling system with complimentary installation at the Dine for Dallas Blue event. Check out the pictures below of the installation. “I am both honored and appreciative for the possibility to have participated in such a wonderful event,” Polendo said. From your friends and family at Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning, we are truly sorry for the loss of the Dallas police officer community and for the loved ones of Lorne Ahrens, Michael Krol, Michael J. Smith, Brent Thompson, and Patrick Zamarripa. Back To BlogContact Us
